Synopsis:
An endless love, for an endless price.

Jack’s immortality is exposed when he prevents a liquor store heist, forcing him to flee to protect his secret—a secret not even he understands. But when he meets Leah Winters—a mirror image of his decades-lost love, Lydia—his very soul is laid bare. He begins to question his sanity. Is she real, and if so, what does that mean for Jack and his secret?

Jack’s not the only mystery man in town. A stranger named Artagan hints at knowledge Jack is desperate to possess. But can he trust Artagan, or does the dark newcomer harbor deadly secrets of his own?

As Jack’s bond with Leah grows, so does the danger to her life. Jack must discover just how much he is willing to risk in order to save the woman he already lost once.

LOVED THIS BOOK!!

We're used to read about the girls feeling, never about the guy, never what the guy has to do, or about the life before the girl. That's the reason why I like so much this book.

Jack it's a man, that is freeze in time, physically he is 20 years old, but in the reality he is more than a hundred year. He hasn't age one day, and he heals quickly, the thing is a lot of people could consider this as a gift but for Jack it's a curse. He doesn't know why he is like that, why he heals like that, the only thing he knows is that he doesn't want to be like that. Since his girlfriend Lydia die, All he want to do is passed away and be reunited we his beloved ones. Sadly for Jack that's not an option. Jack moves to Portland after an accident that compromise what he is. In the moment he arrives he wants to leave, but when he crash with a girl with green eyes just like Lydia, and she is the physical copy of her. He knows he needs to leave, for he's sane, but the temptation it's bigger. He keeps seeing Leah, and he realize she has a lot of things in common with Lydia in her personality but that just make it more complicate because his falling for her but how can he not tell his secret.

With this, another person appears in his life a man, who knows who he is, and apparently why he is that way. A lot of twist happens and the love between Jack and Leah becomes more and more strong, Leah has seen Jack before in her dreams but not in this era, it's when Jack and Lydia were in love. Jack needs answer and that's when mystery man appears again Artagan, he explains a lot of the things Jack doesn't understand, about Leah and her look, and what he is.

He's related to dead, and Artagan its one of the nine members of the council of dead, they make dead happen. Jack ́s body remains in earth unlike Leah’s; it’s her soul who remains. Like everything, all has a price and being with Leah has one, jack needs to decide what's best for her, because danger it’s around the corner.

Jack is just flawless, I love his manners, and how he things he's going crazy, and just the way he is, not afraid and determinate, but at the same time vulnerable, and like the endless romantic that I am, I totally love how he makes sacrifice just for her, it's just true love. Leah its more human and more of this era, she is so kind and has suffer a lot, she desert her piece of heaven, she is afraid of what's going on in her mind, how is it possible that the man of her dreams is in from of her eyes, and what is he going to think of that.

Also the backup characters were really well maid all had their part in the story that matters, Ed, Sally, Connor, all had importance in this. And Artagan let me tell you this character it's so funny and smart, all I can said is wherever you think of him that's not what he's doing or what he is. is I think my favorite of all. And that final, let me tell you about that final, so shocking and unexpected, Jen Printy I need the next book like right now, this book has everything to be a hit, mystery, action, love, romance, comedy. I really like it. and it's so beautiful written, the pauses. Totally a most read.
